Planning

Our space planners worked along side Omgeo to ensure their brief was fulfilled. From meeting rooms, collaboration and contemplation spaces, to department team groupings and individual offices. RED SPACE ensured all brief criteria were met providing the best opportunity for efficient work flow, communication and supervision without compromising on health and safety. Our specialized teams then worked from these plans to ensure everything was installed correctly. A full Site survey was conducted prior to installation to note ease of access, any parking issues for unloading of furniture and any other restrictions that may have impacted on the day.

Solution

Part of our brief was to dispose of Omgeo’s existing furniture consisting of 120 workstations. These were collected and delivered to re-cycling centres where they were dismantled, re-cycled and certificates issued to the client. RED SPACE re-modelled the space planning and specifying 108 new straight desks with individual pedestals and side filers. Each desk has it’s own desk top power module. One of Omgeo’s main criteria was to reduce the number of individual meeting rooms freeing up floor space. We were then able to maximise the communal space providing open plan training areas for their staff. To make the space more individual feature walls were commissioned, splashes of colour introduced to the carpet and free standing lamps create character around the training pods.

Seating

Omgeo required a number of training spaces to be provided within the main office area. Our brief was to keep the main area as open plan as possible whilst maintaining some level of privacy. Additional seating requirements were met by using single piece moulded polypropylene shell stacking chairs in magenta, black and green with a chrome wire skid base, these can be stacked on to a trolley and brought out when needed.

Solution

For the training pods we specified two seater high back sofas with a two tone upholstery, on the outside Camira Blazer Kingsmead and on the inside Camira Blazer St. Martins. Individual Tyler chairs with a spider base co-ordinate with the two seat sofas. Neo free standing tables with a rifle leg are specified in between.
